Born in 2003, the “Premio Prestigio” - Torsanlorenzo for the environment and the “Premio Internazionale Torsanlorenzo” - Progetto e tutela del paesaggio, are the answers to the strong necessity of spaces by the professional and entrepreneurial world, not only virtual ones, where to meet, talk, discuss and promote a higher awareness of the landscape. Each of the professional components in the organizational and cultural process of the Premio, conveyed the necessity to promote opportunities in order to protect the environment or rebuild it where people have destroyed.
Building the landscape as a space where to live and to plan a city, or rebuilding it to strongly retrain an environment fit for human beings, allows to spread all over the surroundings, comfort, hope and real moments of joy.

Moreover, a higher coordination between the constitutive components and the esteem of each one of the elements and specific necessities of the environment, can erase general characteristics and cultural ignorance, which our country has been suffering of.
With such a sincere enthusiasm, Mario Margheriti, took on the opportunity to promote the landscape culture, embracing from the beginning the contest with the secretary office, professionals, associations, but above all, by designers who made available their professional precious assets for all the activities linked to “the Premio”.
